The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

It finally stopped raining here so I took the opportunity to take a few pictures. My Choc babies are over a week old now, they're feathering in and are starting to look ugly.

The Black chick, if it's a cockerel it will be split to Chocolate.

This one's comb seems to be a bit bigger too... and kind of pink. I also see wattles!!! Do y'all see it?

I have a confession... just couldn't hold off any longer... I have 4 doz eggs in the bators. SOo should have some nice chicks in a few weeks :p Then I can post some pictures too.. lol

Jeremy they are cute. They look a nice size too. I have four hatched from the same breed pen yours came from. They are not a week old yet. I have two chocs and two black spit to choc I am also hoping for a cockerel. When I get a free min I will take some pics. It will be next week though. I am preparing for a weekend of Grandkids from out of town and coordinating a Reception for Sunday afternoon to feed over a 100 folks. I guess I am back in full swing again.
Roger how are you doing?

I have a confession too. These have hatched. They don't all live in this tight enclosure. I just put them all together for the photo. 3 of them are chocolates that are 3 weeks old. 2 of them are blacks. 9 are chocolates that are one week old. 8 are buffs, but, you can tell which ones the buffs are.

I just did a count on the chocolates. There's one hiding on the far left. You can see his beak.

To clarify, these are bantam chocolates. One is a large fowl project cross. There are no Pure English Large Fowl Chocolate Orpingtons in the US that are legal that I am aware of. Does anyone know who has some? Legal, that is?
