The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Beautiful pics Julie!! I was going to suggest Cinderella because it looks like shes looking for her shoes. I know dumb. But then Bill said she's electric blue so name her Elektra. Heehee. It's a good name.

My Joy babies should hatch Monday !!

I appreciate those suggestions BB but Electra would'nt fit my style and Cinderella is to long. Two syllable names are big enough for me.
I only have one with a few more syllables and that is Henerietta. I only name a few hens and mostly all the Roos so I can identify the pen

Beautiful pictures.

Julie those roos are looking great! The unnamed hen is making me drool.

Mine usually get named for personalities. Trouble, Pighen, Sunshine (a black bantam that usedd to greet me like a ray of sunshine,) etc.

Julie - Sorry I didn't get thos pics e-mailed to you. I was in the bed sick all day today. I feel fine now...not sure what was wrong, but glad it's gone.

The pictures are GREAT !! Okay, in the first picture, which one is HOss? there are 3 blue roos in that picture? LOL. The Divine Miss M is simply stunning. The black pullet is also going to be a beauty (she already is). The 3 pullets you were telling me about? I'll take all three !!! I did take some pictures of the W&C Cockerel I'm going to send you. I'm going to go through the photos I took yesterday and see if there are any decent ones and I"ll post.

Kassandra - Waiting for a hatch. No pips or anything yet...which is a bit concerning...usually have a few pips by now. I hope they are just taking their sweet time.

I like the name Claire and Stella. I have 2 new blue girls from Winston and Minerva. I'll post pics in a minute with their new names

If we're talking one syllable English names then... May, Meg, Pearl(my fave so far), or Beryl (Not one syllable but means blue and is an "old English" type name).

Okay folks - This little black chick - Pullet or Cockerel? I think Cockerel, but he is the oldest of these chicks and his wattle and comb is not nearly as developed as the others, but...his feathering is more "roo." What do you all think? I think that I am just hoping so hard to have one pullet out of these W&C chicks. The blue pullet is a W&C chick and is 5 days younger - I've used him for a comparison here. (Julie - I will send you this blue or black cockerel - whichever one you want).

These are two more pullets from Winston and Minerva. I'm hoping they are going to take after their older "Cousin," Bluebell....introducing Blueberry and Bluebonnet.
