Yay, Joy's back! I'm glad to hear your thoroughly enjoyed your vacation. We all missed you here on the thread!

My babies are GROWING, I'll have to get you some updated pictures soon too. Some of the pullets have the most fabulous lacing starting to show on their little feathers.

Thanks for all the "welcome backs." It's good to be back. Took me a while to get through all the wonderful photos posted here.

Kathy - that boy we all voted on is gorgeous !! Looks like we all voted on the right one !! Those girls are beautiful as well.

Jeremy - I think your splash is part dinosauer !! Huge, huge feet !! They are really growing.

Ilia - I love the Crele orps too. Black and Blue are my favorites, but the Creles are just stunning.

Julie - The pictures of your girls are beautiful. The type is just awesome...look at those short necks !! Love them !! And "Shaggy dog?" LOL. What a strange little critter he is !! He looks like a giraffe!! And not just the comb...the wattles look pretty big too !! Would love to see pictures of him as he gets older.

Daphne - THey are all so cute !! Keep posting photos as they grow.

My birds have really grown in a short 7 days ... unbelievable. Hagrid looks like he ate something that was as big as he was...he is twice the size, I swear. Clementine, *sigh*, she is almost through with her molt and she is absolutely more stunning than she was to begin with. The O's are magnificent and the Blue girls have grown like little weeds, as as Rumples and the other W&C cockerels. I'll be taking pictures this afternoon after work and will post later with updated pictures. Can't wait for you all to see the change in a mere 7 days !!

Hey Joy, I'll put my sunburned nose up against yours! We had a great time, too - NC is the most beautiful state! So, what kind of fish did you get?
My babies are SO nice and round right now- pictures to come soon, but I have to make a hay run this afternoon - the news is that Max is all of a sudden NOT the biggest, the other light blue in that first set of four is taking the lead- and Skoche is still a little charmer!

Joy, I've started calling him Chomper, after the baby T-Rex from The Land Before Time movies.

He's so sweet, he's not afraid of me at all. He's always the first one at the door of the brooder whenever I come to visit them, stretching his little head up as high as he can to try and see me. He's tall!

Thanks Kathy. It is amazing how much these little buggers have grown in a week. I came back expecting to see my babies, and they have completely bypassed the "toddler" stage right on to big teenagers !!

Beth - Well my nose isn't so sun burned now since it is peeling like a snake...LOL. NC is beautiful; both the mountains and the coastal areas. We caught all different kinds of fish; blues, pompano, flounder, vermilion snapper, porgy, black sea bass, and a few others that I can't remember. I caught a couple of groupers that were too small to keep and caught several red snapper that I had to toss back because it is illegal to keep any of them. Ate some good fish while we were there. I had a tuna steak on Saturday night to die for and a mahi mahi sandwich that was really great too.

Can't wait to see more pictures from everybody !! Be sure to post Skoche pics Beth.

Welcome home Joy.
Well, I have a small bator heating up. i am about to set some eggs. Charlie has been getting a splash pullet very regularly and I hope the two other girls too. Anyway we will see. I am testing out some of TJ's too. Getting ready to set up a few breed pens here in the next week. OF course Albert will not be included in the mix at this point as he doesn't like the girls well enough yet. Still hogging the corn all for hisself. Crazy cockerel
