The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

This is a black Charlie boy and he is weird looking. His comb way to big. He looks like a shaggy dog. He is close to 7 months. I can't wait to see how he turns out. I may sell him after that. He is wide.

Look at the size of that comb and his neck looks long

Still interesting though.

HT she is really pretty. It is really amazing at the changes between 5 to 8 months. I hope you will post again when she gets even a little older.

Such pretty girls...

I got one little one from you last March Julie... We didn't know what sex it was... soo named it Webster.. I am happy to announce SHE is now called Webbie. Webbie might have just been stunted... don't know but she finally started growing. She is not as big as the rest of flock, but she does just fine for herself. I honestly have not had time to do much with pictures... been busy trying to get ready for winter. I sound like a squirrel dont I... lol

Just a nut in NH.. lol

Well, Irene when you get time take some pics and post them for us. I know about busy girl. Wow, I am just hoping to get some things done around here this next week

I am in Orpington heaven!

First, I had eleven eggs from Julie hatch. Then, a week later, I got four Joy chicks in the mail. That's fifteen adorable little fluff-balls! OK, some are losing some of the fluff in favor of feathers, but I think they are gorgeous! These are some of my favorite pictures from today, their first outing.

My favorite little guy from Julie. He has the best, most laid-back personality. When the others start jumping around like popcorn, he stands there like, "What is WITH these guys? I wish they would grow up."

Here are the four Joy chicks. They NEVER stand still.

I thought this picture almost shows how beautiful they are in real life.

This picture made me laugh. I can almost hear them say, "Why does she keep waving that black box in my face?"

Finally, the whole gang.

What a great way to spend the day.

Hey Gang !!!

Well, I made it back late this afternoon - sunburnt, peeling nose and all. We had a wonderful time. The weather was fabulous. It sprinkled a bit on the way down, but after that - sun, sun, sun. It was in the mid-to-high 70s most of hte time, with a few low 80 days in there. We caught a nice cooler full of fish that we brought back. We surf fished most days, but we did go deep sea fishing on Friday. Had lots of good food and company and fun. But...it's good to be home.

I'm gonna try to get caught up on all the posts and pictures here. I'll get updated pictures of my little flock tomorrow and post. The babies surely have grown in a short 7 days - amazing !!!

Edited to add: I changed the title of this thread to "The Official IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread" since some folks appeared to be confused.
