Cute babies Jeremy, so yours are only a week younger than mine...funny I've had mine(6 weeks) in an eglu in the backyard for a week now with no heat and they are doing just fine...do you think they really need the heat?

It still in the low to mid 50s here at night Cheryl, I figured a couple more weeks with the light probably wouldn't hurt. It's a lot cooler on this side of the tunnel, remember?

They probably would be okay at this point with no heat, especially since there is 11 of them, but I don't want to take any chances. Not to mention that I've done everything in my power to spoil these chicks rotten since day 1!

Yes, these are the ones... they're only 23 weeks old... can't wait to see what they look like in another 6 months.

I really like the Crele as well, but they're still #2 in my opinion to the Diamond Jubilee.

1- Diamond Jubilee
2- a tie between Blues and Crele
3- Silver Laced (or if it could ever be done, BLR Orps!)

IMO.

Julie,
I have never posted a picture of this girl. She is my smallest Bama girl. However, it seems she is now catching up with the others. I really think it helped by moving these smaller ones into an even larger area.

finally got some black orps , i purchased 36 black orpington chicks from Gabbard Farms today , i believe they are black lavender splits

will this cause any issues in breeding , and is it normal for some chicks to have white feathers (or is it lavender ) showing in wings or bodies , they are 2wks to 4 wks old i do belive some are almost feathered out
