I lost one of old blue roos I got from Bama today Found him on the bottom of the pile.... It is just soo freaking cold here right now.

So Sorry Irene. I have had that happen before too. They just pile up trying to stay warm and one gets suffocated sometimes. Usually it is the younger ones that don't roost..

Renie, I too am sorry to hear about your loss. I lost a few Ameraucanas like that with our first freeze. We went straight from summer weather to a hard freeze. The chickens weren't acclimated for it.
