The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Had to share... I got my first egg from my girls! This would be my first 100% English Chocolate roos over Blue/Black 75% English pullets!

Yes, I am eggcited!

At least five of my BBS Orps are laying... Found four eggs in one pen this morning and one in the other. BUT I have an egg eater and I don't know who. It can't seem to catch her.

One of my blacks was pecking her eggs So I placed Oystershell in Her pen. She hasn't done it since then

These are a few of my favorite girls. The sun is finally shining in the Sunshine state and I can't get them out of the shade!

Chelsea is a one year old hen I showed at Central Florida Poultry Breeders Assn Inverness show this past weekend and won Champion English

BB is a huge one year old splash that I am starting to take to shows

Sinnie is a 7mo pullet who is an attention savage

And finally Zelda also 7mo pullet hatchmate to Sinnie, who forgets she's a chicken and thinks she's a piranha (treat hog)
Gotta Love the Big Butts!

That was going to be my first thought. We have tried golf balls and thought that was working until yesterday when we caught one of them eating an egg again.

Just put Sinnie in a box, and send her to Dee or Lynne ! They can flip for her !

Sylvia, Zelda looks really good. She has a really nice round long chest. You have a head start on English Orps

Thanks Julie. These are the girls I'm saving for your little blue cockerel when he's ready for some action. I'll hopefully get some pics of him up soon.
