Oh no !! That is just awful. It just reinforces my feelings of why I generally don't like people. This is why I sit on my little piece of heaven and rarely leave. I'd rather be with my dogs and chickens. Such a shame.

Well people, we need some new photos !!! I plan on trying to take some today of the youngest W&C chicks. They are almost 4 weeks old now, I think. I need to check my chicken book to see the hatch dates.

I'll post some pictures of my little chunkers when I go home.
I'm off early today so I have all afternoon to spend with them!

Hey! I'm sure this has been mentioned somewhere but is anyone selling hatching eggs for these beauties? Or anyone near Knoxville selling some culls? I would love a couple of hens to add to my laying flock.

Took a few (well, more than a few) new pics of my Joy Orps. All but three of these are 3 months old. Three of them are between 3 1/2 and 4 months old. They are growing daily, and I'm so enjoying watching them grow into big ole Orps. Of course, the pictures don't do them justice, but ya know, here goes.... Hope I didn't overdo it.

This is a pic of all of them as a group.

Zoe trying to feed them an apple. You gonna eat it-not me, you gonna eat it.... They eventually got brave enough to have a bite. She was very patient.
