Thanks Paula - I just can't wait to see how all these W&C chicks turn out. I am really tickled with the little broody coop. Hope to have some chicks in it next week or the week after.

Julie - Welcome back !! So glad you had a nice trip. Wow - it's still that hot, huh? We've been in the low-to-mid 80s, zero humidity and a light breeze....gorgeous.

Oh my Stars Joy, I saw the fence. If I had a fence like that I might just sit and look at it all day long. What a pleasure to walk outside and have something like that and your splendid little coop to call your own. OMG I can almost picture a whole bunch of them with different little signs on them...

Joy- that coop is fantastic. As soon as your husband can get over to CA and build me something like that, I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyways, these were taken on Saturday.
I'm starting to see some definite cockerels in the bunch. I can't believe how quickly all of them are growing!

One of the smaller blacks. (Black, or dark blue?)

Another blue, this one I think is a cockerel FOR SURE. Look at how proud of himself he already is!

I grabbed one of each color, the batteries on my camera are running low so only a few quick shots.

Joy, I always love your pictures! That coop is just PERFECT! What a great idea, a whole village! I can hardly wait to see what your DH comes up with. How exciting!

Those little cockerels will surely sire some fabulous chicks, like Winston does! I hope Clementine starts laying soon for ya. The O's are OH so gorgeous. It is fun watching them grow, even if it is only in pictures. They are a couple beautiful ladies there!

Jeremy, Your babies are growing already. Sure doesn't take long, does it? Just imagine what they will look like a year from now!

Julie, Welcome back! I will have to try to get some pictures posted of your girls here. I have 3 gorgeous blacks and a blue, that are all looking stunning now. Another month or two and I think they will be even bigger and better, too!

Germaine - Thanks - I do love my fence. I like rustic and rambling, and it definitely is that...not to mention unique.

Kathy - Thanks !! I'm glad you like looking at pictures- I sure seem to post a lot of them !! Yeah, the little "village" will be something when he gets through with it - though it will probably take years to get it done !! Just so much else to do here. However, since we bought this new ZTR mower, we got the mowing done in right at 4-4.5 hours instead of 8 hours !! So that will definitely free up some time. Yeah, I'm excited about the roosters from W&C, but I would have loved to have had a least 1 pullet !! Out of 8 chicks (4 from Winston & Clementine, and 4 from Winston and Minerva), I got 6 cockerels and 2 pullets. NOT a good cockerelullet ratio.

Jeremy- Your babies are growing up !! Pretty soon they will be Toddlers and then teenagers - then your troubles begin

Keep posting the pictures. Hard to tell what you've got there, but some have some pretty good comb development and wattles starting. I hope you don't have the same pullet:cockerel ratio that I got.

17 days old...looks like I have alot of roos! Are they all black? or blue? or what?

Hello Cheryl. I do not have to much experience yet, but my chicks looked that color and they all ended up being blues. Please let me know if you need a home for one if they end up being all roos. I need one to breed to my lovely girls and I just live up in WA. They do look like boys to me but hopefully you get some pullets! You know what one looks to be a pullet to me.
