Here's some updated pictures of my babies. They are now 13 1/2 weeks old. Pictures were taken with a flash, so it washed out their color. I'll get some new pics in the sunshine soon.

Here's ostrich boy, proving that he can be handsome. And he's not naked anymore.

Both of them together, she's so much larger than him. She now is larger than my fully grown pure Ameraucana hen:

Thanks Kathy, they are both just so sweet. I'm so happy Cheryl gave them to me.

Do you find that the male English Orps are slow growers? Because he certainly is.

I was so worried about integrating them because of his recent injury. But since he is healed, I decided to do it anyway- figured it would be better to do it all at once. I moved 8 chickens from my other coop (1 roo and 7 hens) and put them all on the roost last night. This morning I tossed my turkey carcass in to the run, hoping to keep the older ones busy and not pick on the younger ones. So I get home about 11:00 and I go check on them. My little Orp buddy is out in the run holding his own with the older ones, while his sister is in the coop hiding. And she's as big as most of them!

Happy Chooks, those are beautiful blue orps. I love the lacing on them.

I do believe you have 2 girls there. Very pretty!

Definitely two pullets. Great lacing!

Sorry for not posting photos yet. What host do you guys use to post pictures? I'll try and get a few on tonight or tomorrow.

WHAT? I've been wondering about the comb, but he's been so darn slow to feather. Makes the honking cockeral sound too.

ETA: Figures, when I'm happy to have a roo, I don't get one.
