The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

So I was watching today after you asked joy and maybe they are a little flat. I haven't noticed before and I'm gonna cont to watch because I just had a few minutes today. Sapphire not as much. Will they grow into holdingheir tails better. They are 17 weeks old his week so have plenty of growing and maturing to do.

So, I need some ideas on what color to paint my Orpington coop. It's nothing fancy, essentially a long rectangular box on legs with a sloped (white) roof. It's made entirely of recycled or free materials, the only thing I purchased was a new roll of hardware cloth for the windows.

I'm open to suggestions, the only color I'm really not fond of is bright orange.

I would paint it... Yellow and white<< Lighter colors help keep the coop cooler in warmer weather.

That would match my house! There's a Martha Stewart paint called "egg yolk" that just might be perfect...

I had not even considered darker colors making the coop hotter in the summer, thanks for the tip!

I thought I would share a couple of mine and their new rooster

These two blues came from Alabama in a round about way. They have not started to lay yet but soon!! I think they are 8 or 9 months old. I really like them and hope to have some more!!
