The IMPORTED ENGLISH Orpington Thread

Bama.. you have out done yourself... lol Wonderful birds... Wonderful photos.

Brad has been helping some with the chickens the last couple of days because we had all be sick with the flu and I am behind on stuff. He came in from gathering eggs says..... Renie... Them blue girls are the Sweetest and the most beautiful chicken I have ever known. He really likes cuz they stand up so you can get the eggs and don't try to peck you hands like a couple of my buffs do.... lol

Thanks again everyone for the good thoughts and responses here. Ya'll are just great !!

Now - back to chickens !!

Julie - Lovely, lovely birds !!!

I'm having a great ending to a very stressful day. I had put 11 eggs in the hatcher due to hatch today and tomorrow. I have quite a few pips and 3 chicks out - a splash, a beautiful light blue, and.....A BLACK CHICK from one of The O's !! I am really excited about this black chick.

Kathy - Just PM me so I don't forget - this old age thing just sucks !!

Alright, I've got a question for y'all. I'm seriously considering investing in some Jubilee English Orps. Are a dozen (or two) of you already thinking about it? Because I don't want to invest in something that's going to lose most of it's value by the time mine are hitting their reproductive stride. I think they'll be a good investment for several years yet, but if they weren't..I'd have some 'splainin' to do to the hubby. LOL

Also, I'm crazy about Orps and they're just about the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I want some regardless, but it'd be nice if I could make my money back and maybe sock some away for the kid's schooling.
