I have another question for the experts...

I sold chicks to quite a few local folks this past spring. One of the people that bought chicks sent me pictures.

Their black pullet has white on the tips on her feathers! In the picture that I saw, from the side, there were eight white tips! I've never seen that before. I had a moment of panic, thinking I'd had an accidental cross of some sort but I only had male chicks that weren't my orps at that time. It might have been the camera angle, but her eyes looked really light, too.

They asked if she would loose the white when she had her adult molt and I told them that even if she did I wouldn't use her for breeding. What do you all think?
