I love Jasper even with the chestnut - he is so handsome; your names for them are great! Here are some pictures of my 2 roosters. These guys came out of the same hatch. Their father died from a renal tumor about 3 months after they hatched.
The first one is Jasper. I know he still has too much chestnut but there is just something about this guy that I love. He has a very small crest but it is there. He also has a very nice personality.
And this is his scrappy brother Edward. He has the more aggressive personality and at one point someone had pulled out all the feathers on his neck. I am keeping him for the moment because I feel the need to keep a back up roo. Once I get another nice rooster, he will go somewhere.
They were hatched in October. Eggs that I incubated a month ago were not fertile. Their sisters started to lay 2 days ago. The pullet eggs were so tiny next to the hens.
