Oh I go to work everyday! But my husband and I own the factory soooo..... Besides I only have internet t work coss we own a factory and we are broke

I'm not sayin anyone doesn't work, just that I'd like a job at my house watching the chickens. But believe me in this heat that'd be a job. I hope I've lost about 15 pounds sweating in the heat so far. I don't have scales so I won't know till I go back to the doctor next month.:D

Pickledchicken... If you can withstand not candling you are probably better off. I'm on my seventh setting and this time I'm waiting till day 10 to candle because my last 3 or 4 settings I candled starting on day 4 and had way more quitters and blood rings. I speculate the extra handling in the first week is to blame. Tomorrow is my 7th day on my current and last bunch of 2012. So far all I've done is 3 turns a day. That is 6am, 5:30 pm, and 10pm, and I've rotated them a couple times to make sure they all are equalized.
Are you pretty happy with the incukit? Mine looks like a high schooler's science project. I am thinking about a bigger capacity one with turning mechanisms for my winter project.

Donna... I haven't forgotten you. I have tons of scrap sheet metal panels, I just need to cut them down and get them over to yall. It's been slower lately so I'll try to get that over to ya'll soon. Much of the problem is after my day sucks soooo bad, I just want to get home. It's hard being a supplier in the construction industry... evidently, I cost people thousands of dollars everyday, and no one loves me!

Matlock I think I will just wait it out I probably wont candle at all. I'm just gonna do a sniff test once in awhile. If everything smells ok I'll just leave it be. Below is a pic of the averages that the incukit has been maintaining in my bator I really like it

pickledchicken looks good, how many runs are you doing? if you need help let me know. I can help you out Sundays after church. I did fence work for 7 years so i know my way around a set of post hole diggers, an auger and a fence strecher pretty well. I'd offer saturdays but seems like the wife always has something for me to do.

Thanks for the offer Tin ! I'm gonna put 7 in off the back of the garage for now. I do plan on fencing in the biggest part of the yard one day just to let them free range. They haven't strayed to far away yet but I see it coming I'm gonna wait till fall before any more major projects. I have a large pen for my Marans I need 3 more for my Orps and Barnies and one coop for the eggs in the bator. I'm not real happy with the lacing on my Barnies may start over again with some different stock. I will definitely keep you in mind when I fence in the yard this fall.
