Heavy frost the last couple of days, but this morning was nice.

Lots of chat I missed in little time... oops. My pullets don't like my silkie cockerel.. they attacked him, other cockerel was fine with him, thankfully since he is a "fighting breed" His nails are long for his age. Guineas were also going after him.

No, luckily. They grabbed his "helmet" and started pulling him around, poor guy. He's fine, just need to watch for wry neck.. I had a hen die from wry so hopefully he won't get it. He's in the "chick" coop right now.

I was gifted a Serama and her baby by @cra8ychix . She is who I got A'pollo and Nugget from, along with the Light Brahmas. We've spent a good amount of time talking and have became friends. She had me over the other day for some chicken chat that turned in to a play date for Jonah and her Granddaughter. It was a nice time, and I REALLY enjoyed the adult conversation.

Sadly, in less than 24 hours I lost the baby. Long story short, she was spooked and flew in to the woods. It's been over 24 hours that's she's been missing and not came back to her momma yet.

This is momma though. She's pretty sweet so far. She doesn't really like me yet, but it's only been a day and a half. That being said, she is easier to handle than my chocolate girl who gets handled daily. She kind of remind me of the top to merengue pie. Light orange puffs on a creamy surface.

Well crap... I just noticed one of my turkeys has a slight limp.

Oh no! Poor turkey, hopefully it isn't bad. Beautiful chicken though, reminds me of my leg horns and the huge combs!

Aww sorry your lil one flew away an didn’t return. Very pretty lil one you have there. Maybe the Turk stepped in a hole the ducks drilled out ? lol
