She's pretty though.I myself was on a quest to try and get a bantam and LF mix last year. I succeeded and got two chicks from it (male and female). But unfortunately, the fox killed the male chick but I still have the hen who is laying eggs of her own now. I have named her Ice because she is pure white, poor things looks rather funny because she isn't a LF hen size or a bantam hen size so she sticks out.

Here's my black silkie hen with her new chick, their first time in the run. I'm a new chicken owner and this is the first baby. I've learned so much here in the past few days and am going to try to get a much bigger clutch of eggs for the next broody hen to hatch. This one only had two and one was not it fertilized. Good question. I've never heard the term sizzle before. But picture one is the rooster, next the black silkie or "blondie" she is a buff silkie? ( If I'm reading things right on here) is the mom. I was just told they were all silkie chickens when I "inherited" them. Kinda sad story but I'm so happy to have them. Trying to learn everything I can and hatch more eggs. I'm told they're probably 4 years old. The hens laid 1-2 eggs a day since I got them in May. First time letting the broody hen sit on eggs.
