the silkie slickers

Pics
They are all silkies. So she's a silkie.. a partridge silkie chick? I dont know if that's a breed or color description. I know I cant till he or she yet but I refer to her as she since that's what I want her to be :)

Good question. I've never heard the term sizzle before. But picture one is the rooster, next the black silkie or "blondie" she is a buff silkie? ( If I'm reading things right on here) is the mom. I was just told they were all silkie chickens when I "inherited" them. Kinda sad story but I'm so happy to have them. Trying to learn everything I can and hatch more eggs. I'm told they're probably 4 years old. The hens laid 1-2 eggs a day since I got them in May. First time letting the broody hen sit on eggs. They are all so cute! Wow they are still laying 1-2 eggs a day at four years old. Mine usually stop or slow down when they hit the 4th mark! I did have a speckledy hen who is still alive at 8 years old and she was laying until she was 6 but her shells were very thin!

Yeah, I totally agree! I always have to go and see what I am paying for before I buy it. My worst nightmare is paying £80 plus for a bird and when I collect it it turn out to be absolutely rubbish! But most breeders are very honest and helpful it is just those selective few who think they can get away with swindling someone. They ruin the hobby for everyone.
Some more pictures of my birdies, please ignore the muddy feet and bodies 😂🤷‍♂️....
You wouldn't realise they were ment to be completely white would you? Soooo muddy 😂. The pullet in the second photo has a HUGE pom pom!

That’s true, you always get the odd ones that spoil it for others but it’s like that with all animals that can be shown. There’s an awful lot of jealousy and little compassion at times but I’ve just learned to do what I feel is right, after all, we all make our own choices and it’s our own decision what we do with out birds. can’t please everyone 😅 although it would be nice haha!

Aw they are all beautiful! Especially your Male!:celebrate I’m sure you’ll get some lovely chicks from them.

Ours both have a very similar face (minus the beard and wattles) 😂

Long lost brothers just one has forgotten to shave 😂

So my son is in LOVE with silkies. So we went to a local feed store and bought 6 total. The two alone in the one photo are silkies and the 4 in the middle of the group are also silkies. I was curious if anyone could give me an idea of what they two singled out might look like when they grow up color wise. We just recently hatched out first flock so we are new to the whole process but I am re[/QUOTE]

Well the brown one I think is a partridge silkie so when it is an adult it should look like this,
