Stick with the amoxicillin. It will be more effective. Unless a vet can prescribe something stronger, I recommend ordering the Fish Mox. Call them and they will ship it today and you will likely get it Monday, just as you will be running out of the amoxicillin you broke up into smaller doses.

Should I do the 250mg of amoxicillin or the cc of tylan? I had two different answers.

The amoxicillin would be better. If you do decide to give the Tylan, it too must be given more than once a day. Most vets recommend 3-4 times a day for that, and the dose is no less than 0.2 ml per pound of body weight 3-4 times a day, so a five pound chicken would get 1 ml 3-4 times a day, not 1 ml once a day.
