Those who hatch chicks & Ducklings

Just curious..

For those who have hatched both chicks & ducks (not together of course) have you guys experienced needing to help ducklings (assist hatch) more frequently than chicks?

Ducklings are a pain so I've had a harder time with them. 1) they need more humidity at the end. 2) they need more patience as they hatch slower than chicks.

I never have to assist standard size ducks, they are the easiest for me to hatch! Call ducks on the other hand need my full on attention, every time...

My few ducks I hatched like 5 years ago didn't need help. But they were just Swedish. Nothing fancy

In my environment, my wh ducks struggled to get out when I didn't mist. Only tried it once but every other hatch has gone much more smoothly and I have misted those.

I’ve been misting since day 10. It’s day 25 & I have one external pip (beak full out) & the rest are internally pipped. Hearing a lot of pecking & peeping.

Pulling out all the patience as I wait lol
