Those who need help in sexing peafowl

Sorry I have tried both digital and cell phone. They are all blurry when I'm on my laptop. #1 looks like the males to me. I'm guessing #1 because of the shape of the center feather looks male to me. The #2 is hen.

What do you think about these? Male or female.

These are actually from my IB peahens. They only grow a few on each wing and they are never bigger than about 5-6 inches in length. Some Peahens can have a fair amount of barring/stripes on these wing feathers. The same feathers on my IB males look like this.

Now you know why I said you can't trust barring. Those are beautiful. Those aren't from the secondary feathers then if those feathers are from the same place on an IB male. That's on what is called the wing covert. Or it would be in the area known as false primaries. I know my feathers names because I've showed and judged poultry before.

I will defer to your knowledge of feather names, because I have no idea what these are called.

I just know the blue ones come from the boys and the striped ones from the girls in the general area of the shoulder, a little below the shoulder actually. Neither males nor females have these as chicks, as they mature these grow in to replace the molted juvenile feathers, so hens can, at this time, actually develop barring where they did not have any before....... Just Sayin'!

For the false primaries, male will begin getting a black color around Thor's age and barring for the hens. It's going black. I'm trying so hard to get a good clear photo of the feather. It's so hard to get a picture that isn't blurry.
