Let me tell you a snake that does need to be killed.... The pythons in the Florida Everglades and other snakes that are in ecosystems where they do not belong. I am fine with snakes inhabiting the areas they are meant to be in, but the brown tree snake is causing quick extinctions for many of the bird species on the island of Guam, most of which only live on Guam. It has caused I think 4 extinctions.
I personally enjoy photographing snakes. I like the pattern of their scales and everything but I certainly am not compelled to play with venomous snakes. I give dangerous snakes a lot of room. The only snakes we kill are moccasins because those are some dangerous snakes. The rattlers I am fine with, but moccasins will chase after you.
Black racer in a bush at my school. I saw him sticking out of the bush catching some sun one morning when I was walking to class. Other people walked right by him without even knowing.

This was a really cool snake...It is called a hognose snake, but it is also called a spreading adder. It is harmless though, but it reminds me of a cobra.
