OK, so the ones that are getting loud and starting to make weird sounds instead of peeps will most likely be girls? The lady said she would take 2 girls/1 boy... but really wants just girls because she has a pair of drakes on her property that are getting frisky with her chickens. She sounds PERFECT... has 3 young boys... wants them for pets... on 24 acre horse property. I want to make sure she gets all girls, if possible!

It's hard to explain but it's like a honk noise. Just a faint comparison to that of a noisy adult hen. They mostly have a baby noise but then they have a honk at the beginning. That's how I would try to explain it anyway..... It's really hard to tell you what it sounds like unless I was there and listening and could point it out.

Taking eggs from wild duck nests is highly illegal. Migratory birds require permits to keep them, and you are not permitted to take birds or eggs from the wild.

I read it being described as a whoopie cushion sound.... and I am definitely hearing the whooping sound. Plus, I am hearing peep peep pe - voice cracks. I also read to pick them up so they would make distress call to pick out which one is making the different sounds.
