Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

I considered putting more in with mine and thought maybe about taping some thread on each end and threading it through the vents and trying to turn it! Not sure it would have worked though! Good luck though!
Wish my ducklings would hurry up. Wonder how Nebraska's are going without her. Mine haven't got much further. Still only one has pipped and that was yesterday. Can hear them cheeping away occasionally.

Well, my Pekin still has some eggs out there she has abandoned (kept laying after i got all I wanted but never started sitting) and I have yet to throw them out. Some should certainly still be good, BUT I'd hate to end up with a stinker in with my definitely good eggs. So. I'll refrain. ;)

It was the LONGEST DAY AT WORK! I am glad to be home. Not much more progress on mine either! Both have chips in them and they are rocking and shaking and I do hear some very very faint peeping (at least I think so, or my imagination is running away with me in my time of insanity!)

How ya doing gwackers? How is your progress. I think we may tie in our hatches!

Silly things haven't done a lot. The whole isn't much bigger on the pipped one, can still hear cheeping and they are all still rocking a bit. I am a bit worried as they were due yesterday. Really don't want them to die! I'm fighting with myself not to open it quickly and grabbed the one that pipped yesterday to check it's not dried up. Any thoughts!?

Nebraska- what type of work do you do? If you don't mind saying.. Just curious, since qwackers joked about you hurting people.

Hi I had posted a while ago and got some great advice about letting momma duck sit on her own eggs- - hatch day was yesterday! We have East Indies- 11 eggs total- at last candle, 10 were good- 1 was not - got 2 babies yesterday and 1 baby during the night because when we got up this morning, there it was! 3 total....question for the experienced on here...once the first starts hatching..how long, how many days until the other ones hatch? Hoping for more healthy babies but we'd be happy with the three we already have as well! Thanks for any advice! Officially, its been 24 hours now since the first egg hatched. Thanks!

Dead jealous! congrats! Love the name! So lucky you can tell the sex straight away.

Just had to help mine, the one that pipped hadn't gone through the membrane which was drying out and sounded distressed, then realised egg no 2 was in the same boat. Helped them so now can breathe. Egg no. 3 was squawking like mad but no hole so was worried he was suffocating, turns out he was shrink wrapped. Made a teeny hole like 2mm for him to breathe, bled abit so put straight back in wrapped in a warm wet paper towel. Other 2 eggs aren't cheeping or pipping. Going to leave those. Hope they will all be ok, and hope I haven't done any damage. The first two looked all absorbed from what I could see but obv not the 3rd one. I know you aren't really meant to help but I could tell they were struggling. Today is day 30.
