Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

Oh, I want to know BOTH!! No need to feel bad to ask. I want the bird and human update.
Lol, everyone here is fine and dandy. Fat and happy and not laying me any eggs.

Hoping in another month this will be a distant memory and I'll have more eggs than I can handle.

How's everyone there?

This guy is my little house duck. He's 10 weeks old, and more than old enough to be outside by now. But he was an only duckling, and bonded with me pretty good and I love the little guy, lol. He goes with me whenever I am outside to get some real duck socialization, but I'm not ready to make my little friend be a real duck full time yet.

I ordered a chicken diaper for the serama's, since the frizzle will likely be kept indoors whenever the weather is bad and I want to be able to let her out in the house. Thinking about ordering one for this little guy too, and he can be an indoor/outdoor duck.

By golly, I'd get him one. They poop under pressure! I was checking on one for lucky when she passed. Now I'm thinking I'm going to need one for Baby Girl (injured goose) since I want that half of the barn for the new goat kids coming mid March.

How is Baby doing?
I was thinking, if I like the chicken diaper once I have it I might try copying it to make a few more in assorted sizes, just so I have them if I need them. Including goose, lol. My girls love it when she comes in for a snack and to hang out for awhile, and with wood floors it isn't too hard to clean up. But after about 10 minutes of it I end up booting her back out.
Plus, if the roos will actually wear them, I'm wondering if I put one on them if it would stop them from being able to successfully reproduce with the hens. And them I could let everyone out together every now and them without worrying about my eggs not being pure, instead of rotating free time between the d'uccle and serama. I'm a weirdo, I know.

Julie, if you can design a good useful anti-mating diaper, there would be a market for it. Your not the only one who has to make those choices!

Anti-mating diaper! The alternative to breeding pens!

Hah my duck wears a diaper. You just gave it a whole new meaning though! Like a ducky chastity belt

Lol you guys. It'll probably be a pain having t go change rooster diapers all day. But I was thinking maybe for a few hours for exercise every now and then.

Didn't even think it for that purpose for the ducks. I do have some swimsuits that the kids that have outgrown though....
