Thread formerly known as Hatch day is today

While you're waiting, make sure everything is ready for them when they come out. Keep yourself busy, but close by. A watched egg never hatches.

I don't need more ducks but bantams don't count as a full duck right?

At least I'm relieved it is turning out that boys are actually girls, instead of the other way around! Napolean is a stunning goose! Are your new ones both boys??

Of course they don't count. A flock equals like one duck, really. At least that's how I look at them.

I'm so jealous of everybody getting eggs. Two weeks ago even my chickens decided they had had it and stopped laying for me. Sigh. Also, one other gosling question - at about what age will they be as big as standard size chickens (like leghorn, red sex link, etc size)? That's when I plan on taking them out of baby diapers and putting them in the better made, easier to use 'adult' diapers. I'm just wondering when I should order. They're very similar to sebbies, so if anyone who raises them has any ideas, that would be awesome.

One month, give or take a week or two. The 1 month and 1.5 month old were chicken sized, and bigger.
