It is a whopping 12 degrees here right now! Just came back inside from feeding. Brrrrrr. Here's a picture of my horses & geese waiting for their breakfast.

I am totally sold on Guineas!!! They are hands down my favorite bird to eat thus far....Wonder what a sebbie tastes like?

We have a second pip!

I can't wait for some action to really start happening. Oh My gosh I almost forgot, I need to get my brooder tub set up......... I can't freaking wait for babies to start hatching. I'm so silly it's nothing I haven't seen before and I'll probably sell as many as I can from this hatch, but I just get so excited every time.

im starting to get really discouraged with these eggs.
those 2 are still doing good which is great.
but i think the rest of the muscovy eggs are duds.
which really sucks.
im hopin the pekin eggs are more promising, the next 2 days will tell.
even tho id rather the muscovys since she had beautiful colors in them.
i wish pekins came in other colors.

No eating of the Sebbies JZ. I went to order them and they were sold out. So there's my sign. One and half days and their all spoken for. No big whoop.

CG, bummer on your eggs. I remember how sad I was to candle my dozen ancona eggs to discover only one growing. Hope your two make it. My one ancona did.

For Chicken: hatch duckies hatch!!

The duckies are growing so fast, they will be too big for the fish tank in a day or two! So, I'm shopping now for a pet playpen. Would metal or cloth be better? What do you guys think?

70- Oh my, I would have flipped out on that nut job and her dog. That's absolutely crazy!
Iain- Glad your ducklings are doing well. You know, you could always keep a boy and 2 girls, then keep the opposite from the next batch and have 2 trios set up.

I'm starting to worry about my calls. I think they are supposed to hatch day 26, and I'm on day 23. No rocking, no nothing. I can still see them moving except the one egg, but it still has veining and looks ok otherwise. I wish hatch day would hurry and get here.
