Im bidding on some magpie ducks right now, and some more quail.  (Trying to iimprove size so buying lots of Jumbos)  I've been lurking for Magpies for awhile.  I'll pay too much, but I'm gonna get these eggs!!!

Is it on eBay ending in 3 days?

I recently bought an EcoGlow brooder because I do not trust those heat lamps.

I had a near-mishap with a heat lamp last year. Now I go overboard in securing them. I should get an ecolglow... but then how would I pay for hatching eggs?

I don't use heat lamp, just 60 watt bulbs. We take care to be sure they are secure, but I've gotta have lights or I don't have enough eggs for the oriental food store guy. (Not for his store, he buys them, I don't ask what he does with them)

Sorry I disappeared earlier. I was at work....bosses and such....

I tried getting pics of candling, but my cell phone didn't work very well. So I float tested about 30 minutes ago and they were all dead.

No happy campers here. Now we have to start over, but can't get any eggs until I get paid again.

That also puts me at 2 of 69 eggs hatched, with only 1 survivor, a serama chick.

I'm so sorry for your hatching troubles. I'm having nightmares about the ones in my bator right now. Last night I dreamt that all the ducks hatched out and they were 3-legged chickens!

What model incubator do you have? I've been operating on faith that my Hovabator 1588 was preset properly when it left the factory. I've got two thermometer/hygrometers in there and have been averaging out to be just right...

2 more duds! cracked them open and there was nothing but a smelly yolk

that makes 14 out of 24 wh that were duds!

Afraid so. I was the second bidder. If you were the first, i'll stop bidding. I came and checked here earlier, to be sure I didn't step on toes, but you wern't on at the time. I've been bidding all afternoon. I hope it has been you all day! Its up to 20, and got a bit more before my second bid will be passed.

Funny Story:

Ok, my husband does the dishes like.. maybe twice a year. Yesterday was one of those days. So I'm looking everywhere for my little waterer that I set out to clean up for the babies. It had been with the bigger chicks, but I upgraded them.

Anyhoo- I found it FINALLY... in the dishwasher. I guess the hubs thought he would clean it in there.

(So naturally I removed it and the rewashed everything that was in there.)

LOL.

LOL. I washed all my feeders and waterers for the littles twice the other day. Alone.

Something would have given me the willies over eating off dishes that were washed with critter stuff, even if it was on the sanitize/super wash setting.

Im ok. My ducks get me through all the crap lol.
When I was little, me and my dad were REALLY close, but niw, not so much. Not at all actually. He talks about raceist crap all the time, and its really annoying, and mean. And its totally drivin me and my sister away from him, and he doesnt even care to spend time with us at all. He only likes spending time with the little brither, and hes turned my little brother into a complete brat.

Sorry you're having to deal with divorce drama. My folks divorced and my mom hated my dad's guts until the day she died. It was really awkward for me growing up and having to deal with both of them using me as sort of a spy when I was with the other parent. I usually just lied so they wouldn't fight any more. Not fun.

My dad and I get along well all these years later. Glad that those days are well behind.
