URGG! I need to lay off the hatching until I can REALLY handle it!!.. This duckling (Oswald) Is not doing very good .... He came out to early i think... there was no more blood, or yolk to absorb, but he has this "brain" Thing conected to his rear, and its oozing slightly. EKK! It smells nasty, and hes very weak... Don't think hes gonna make it, I think only 2 are still alive besides Oswald, at leased for now. The last 2 being a boy and a girl... I need a hug

Why does my life keeping getting worse

Last night the family "Helped" me by doing all the animal chores. This morning I awake to my sweet Molly mutilated. Someone didn't properly latch the duck latch and he got out at night. To make it worse my Dane was the predator. Now I've lost two of my babies back to back and can't look at my dane without busting out in tears. I know it's not her fault but it doesn't make it any easier. So I've spent my day in and out of hour long sobbing spells. Please tell me everyone else's day went better?

Oh Kevin, I am so sorry.

For those dealing with Plum run, where are they located, and did they give any time frame at all? If they can not tell you even a month your orders would be filled in, I would be questioning them. I know HWF can take sometime because of the size of their breeding program, but they respond to inquiries. If PR has a phone number listed I would be calling. Otherwise a PayPal dispute might be in order. Maybe that would get a response.

Um.. I think they are in Ohio? No time frame. Celtic, you wouldn't believe what I went through just trying to convince them I had PAID for my order. They said they didn't get it and tried to tell me I ordered wrong... said I needed to order off their website. (I did.)
No phone number that I can find.

I'm so sorry. My day was pure hell, but I didn't lose any animals. Tweaked my sciatic nerve at work, but it's something that happens from time to time.

I've done that. Every so often it just "pops". I feel your pain sista!

DG was this an assisted hatch, or did it hatch on its own? How much opening of the bator and handling the eggs have you done? I don't remember if you have a still or forced air and a turner or not.
