Tips for knowing gender of a goose?

They can be like that, unfortunately. You'll have to do some introductions, and I would start now if you haven't. Keep them in brooders next to each other so that they can always see each other, but can't actually get at each other to fight. Doing this for a couple weeks should help. Even so, when you do eventually put them together, there may still be some scuffling to determine dominance.

We sort of tried to do that but outside of the big ones pen, I think putting the little guys in a brooder next to them is a great idea though, thank you. We had the babies in a little thing of water, and the older ones come see them. The goose just wanted to drink the water, didn’t care about them at all. But the duck was very mad, he vibrated and jumped at them. He even tried to bite me when i pushed him away (which neither the goose nor duck have ever done before).

The duck really doesn’t like us much though, he seems very scared of everything.

They sometimes go through a phase like that where they think everything is out to kill them, it seems.

Is this duck the one that you had quack and is a girl based on that? Or was it the younger duck? Just curious :)

It’s the one that is a girl based on her quack, she’s about 9 weeks old. She hides behind the goose a lot, and runs from me.

They're cute :) You could try bribing her with some tasty mealworms if you want to try to win her over.
