The Giants sound good, not sure about wyandottes. I'm kind of wary of Giants, I've been told they aren't worth the feed. I want it to forage and stay lean.

Maybye a Barred rock, no I can do better... a white rock!

If you used a barred hen in the cross (as long as the rooster isn't barred or dominant white) the chicks would be black sex links which would be handy when doing a meat cross!

Yes, I will take a look before I bury her. Unsure if my Dad already checked, but I will check again. I rather find out it is a issue from egg bound and not a sickness. Thanks for the suggestion, I might try.

So... I love researching and trying to find history on each breed (chicken)... I happened to be in the middle of doing that and found this: https://extension.illinois.edu/eggs/res10-breedhistory.html Anybody... You know... Trust them?

Believe everything you see and none of what you hear.

But I will take a look at it, I find the link quite fascinating. Do you?
Where do you get the history from everybody? :0
