Oh, I also recently watched some chicken surgery videos where they use super glue to close wounds. Maybe someone else can chime in on that also.

I'm wondering if he might eat mash more than regular feed. To make mash just mix water w/ the feed and let it soak in. You can also cook up some scrambled eggs and chop them up into small pieces (like what you'd put in fried rice) and mix it into the mash. I wouldn't make very much the first time, just so you don't end up wasting it if he doesn't care for that either.
