Turkey hen with bloated crop; not eating much; lethargic

Good luck! She's a very beautiful turkey and it's nice to see you love her so much. Hopefully it's something that can be fixed through the medication and not just her body catching up to her. BBWs sound like such sweet turkeys.

Thank you very much! I so hope the medication helps her. We have two BBWs and they are our first turkeys. They imprinted on us and are the sweetest birds! They've brought us so much joy!

The vet gave us:

Oxytetracycline (antibiotic)

Nystatin (antifungal)

Meloxicam (anti-inflammatory)

Update!

Blossom has had two doses of antibiotics so far, and her third will be this evening.

She is currently eating for the first time in four days! She has rejected food for that whole time. She drank plenty of water, though.

Her crop is still large, but it seems to be going down a bit.

UPDATE

Four days on antibiotics so far. Blossom's not eating or drinking again; its been two days since she last ate or drank. Her crop is still enlarged and squishy. Do you have any suggestions?

This might just be from discomfort, but her posture is different from usual. She's been holding her wings away from her body and letting them sag down. Also, when she lies down, instead of her legs being tucked underneath her, they stick out in front.
