Without Hens the more dominant Drake is protecting his Buddy Duck from you..In many cases that protective behaviour will escalate once you add Hens..He does not see your wife as above him in the flock..He is hormonal and aggressive....I would get rid of the aggressive Drake and get two Hens for the gentle one...
