I think you posted it yesterday. It said #26 I clicked on quote but I wasn’t able to paste it. Maybe I read it wrong. Am I even giving the right medicine? She only coughs once in a while, she just seems lethargic. She hung close to the sick one. Could it be that is what is causing her to feel this way? Would it be a good idea to change medicines mid stream this way? Lord have mercy I don’t know which end is up right now. Can you answer this as soon as you have time?

Are you able to get her in a warm room or cage?

Nevermind, I just looked up the weather in your area and it says you're at 87 degrees.

Can you grab her and check her entire body for lice and mites? When I check mine I use a strong pair of reading glasses.

Next, can you tell if she has lost weight?

Has she ever been dewormed?

What does her poop look like?

No she has never been dewormed. When the vet checked the stool he did not mention worms. I called once about it and he was supposed to call me back but he never did. All of the stools are runny. I just took all of the bedding out of their cage. Cleaned everything including the roost and half of the porch with 6 1/2 oz of Oxinine in one gallon of water. I will check her closer to bedtime. I put a slice of watermelon out and while she devoured it 2 days ago, today she was disinterested. I can’t tell if she has lost weight because I don’t usually pick them up. Should I continue with the Tylan, put probiotics in her water I am so up in the air because I don’t know what to do and I don’t want to lose her too. She is laying over in the grass in the shade and the australorp is laying with her now. I hope she isn’t getting sick too

If a vet is not an option you have to be the vet, which means catching her, examining her thoroughly, weighing her, etc.

When I see one of mine looking unwell I bring them in, get a baseline weight, examine, treat for mites and lice with permethrin.

If they are not eating and drinking I tube fluids at 10-15 ml per pound and repeat in 60-90 minutes if their crop has cleared, then again in 2-4 hours.

If their poop looks odd I usually deworm, treat for coccidia, and start them on an antibiotic.

I want to do the very best for these little hens. I have gotten so attached to them. But I dont have scales. If I had the money they would have already been to the vet. But the only vet that will even see a chicken says he doesn't know a lot about them. I am at a loss here. So would you suggest keeping her on the tylan or starting her on baytril. She had about 3 days of corrid before I took the stool sample in. I also have some ivermectin pour on. I am not holding you responsible for any advice I am just trying to find the right thing to do considering my circumstances

Call your nearest vet and ask if you can weigh her. If they say no, maybe take her to the post office and use their scale.

If you want to deworm her I would suggest Safeguard because ivermectin isn't a very good poultry dewormer.
