It may take the bird 3 days to make it. My money says

keep your carrier in plain pigeon view

at you place it will arrive there.
Well I left the garage door open, just in case, the carrier was with me all day. About an hour and fifteen minutes later.....she's back at mine. In the garage with my brahma!!

Sounds like he/she's there to stay. Strange it is homing to you, and not where it came from, with no training to your location.... but I'd take it and not ask questions! Notify the owner. I can't imagine he'll want that bird back, and I'm sure will be happy it is in good hands. Enjoy the process. I would get at least one more pigeon to keep it company. I wouldn't let it mingle too much with the chickens--all is well with them, until it's not.

The brahma is broody and in a separate cage! I think it could be sunflower seeds. She pulls all her food out looking for them! I'll phone the owner tomorrow and tell him. He did say that he could send a courier. I'll offer to buy her. I've been looking at prices and they can be anywhere between £5-30. More if they are pedigree. I have found a loft on eBay, it's not the best but it is cheap, quick and easy until I can sort something better out. I still can't believe she came back! I haven't done anything to train her. I did have her in the garden in the cage for a while the other evening. I couldn't stop smiling all day!

I found a lost racing pigeon too, though the one I found looked as if a hawk got her as she has a pretty nasty wound by her right leg. Despite the injury though, she is bright eyed, active, very hungry and absurdly cuddly and clingy.

I have posted on the stray pigeon reporting and am waiting for a reply from the owners, turns out she is from 26.1 miles away from where I live. o.o

I hope she will be OK. Do you have pigeons?

I had a pet feral rock dove years ago, though other than that the only pigeon I have is a diamond dove, who I don't really wanna house with this giant baby. :lau He went in twig mode the moment he saw her.

I have been showering her in affection though to make up for it.
