Thank you for replying! I really appreciate the help. I guess I didn't realize that permethrin was toxic (in all honesty, as neglectful as it sounds, I failed to read the label thoroughly after reading mixing rates) to fish and I treated their duck house and surrounding area with the really strong mixture rates back many months ago. I didn't see any dead fish so I'm guessing the mixture has to be extremely strong to be toxic. I'm at a loss as to what to treat their duck house with now. I haven't noticed the lice problem since I last treated. Since I'm treating Honey (Pekin duck) for bumblefoot and finally learned that it's a long process to completely treat, I've been moving her and a Drake in a fenced in area (it was my little dogs outdoor area) at the house every morning and returning to the duck house at night. I could easily treat them in the morning. Other than around the eyes, do I just spray around the vent, getting down to the skin, and under wings? Or is treatment different for these fleas on ducks? What about them getting in the pool afterwards? If Ivermectin injectable given orally will treat this, maybe I should use that? Or purchase some pour on. Any thoughts? Thank you for your timeI'd guess that they all, and most insecticides, are.
Might have to remove birds to another location before treating.
