Unrefrigerated eggs: is there an official resource on this topic?

i live in europe and its split both ways, some people wash and shove them in the 'fridge, but others like me just store them in egg trays in a cool part of the house. customers know where i keep them and have no problems.
saying that my eggs dont last long enough to get them in the fridge, their gone the same day....maybe i need more chickens......

also a link i always refer to with egg problems (although they advise to refridgerate eggs which i dont!) good link all the same

I suggest anyone wash any eggs before they crack them, period. The way some commercial eggs are washed and handled warrants it.
