Very unusual chick, Guinea / chicken hybrid!!

Good to hear both of your latest are doing well. The second is totally different colour. Wonder if the Malay Rooster pure for black?

The older birds look to be doing fine also. They are certainly different aren't they.

Yes they are both very lively and doing great! Here is a pic of the second one....

It's interesting to note that chicken color genes seem to be extremely dominant over guinea color. It would be so easy to overlook that chick as a typical duckwing chick....

Is the black one showing white bars on feathers yet? So curious to see how barring expresses in the hybrids and I must say I am thrilled the second chick is not black- means there is a chance of barring over a non-black bird... Fantastic breeding from 'what do the chicks look like' perspective!
