The older birds look to be doing fine also. They are certainly different aren't they.

Yeah I must say I have a real soft spot for them They are so different I love people's reactions when they see them... They do a double take then look blankly for a minute or two LMAO.

Yes they are both very lively and doing great! Here is a pic of the second one....

It's interesting to note that chicken color genes seem to be extremely dominant over guinea color. It would be so easy to overlook that chick as a typical duckwing chick....

Is the black one showing white bars on feathers yet? So curious to see how barring expresses in the hybrids and I must say I am thrilled the second chick is not black- means there is a chance of barring over a non-black bird... Fantastic breeding from 'what do the chicks look like' perspective!

It's interesting to note that chicken color genes seem to be extremely dominant over guinea color. 

It is Kev, not 100% sure but could be M+/M+, li/li^h gene would be good to see the double factor dusky over the guinea gene

I think your guinea hybrids are a lot easier on the eye than silkies, frizzles, frazzles and sizzles. I also have a hard time looking at naked necks, but I would like to see a naked neck/guinea cross at least once.

I will see if mine breed and post some picts as I have 8 pairing locked up of NN roosters with 6 guinea hens, fingers crossed
