Waiting for 9/22 hatch date! I put fertile eggs under the broody hen!

So I FINALLY made it home and went out to find 3 chicks out and fluffed and another almost all the way out!!! Woohoo! And there is another one that has worked its way about half way out! 5 out of 7!! I am totally thrilled! Pics to follow!

okay, now I'm so jealous!!! Mine are due to hatch tomorrow. My broody was off her nest for about 5 mins and I took the 2 eggs and candled them. They are definately large and can barely see through the egg any more. No pips, no cheeps, but definitely movement inside. I'm hoping they are right on time, tomorrow afternoon. I set them at 1 pm 20 days ago.....so at 1pm tomorrow makes the full 21 days. My fingers are crossed for my 2 eggs (Easter Egger and Silver Spangled Hamburg) they only 2 that made it out of 24 shipped eggs. Everyone please

Thanks you guys! It's so fun to know how everyone else who's getting chicks is feeling.

I checked again and we still have 5 chicks and 2 eggs we're still waiting on. I figure we're ok still to wait since the hatch date isn't officially until tomorrow and the eggs came from different hens and my broody is still sitting on them. I did get some pics, however!

Here's the Mama with one of her chicks:

Here's one of the chicks my daughter is holding and named Omelette

And here is one of all 5 chicks. They're hard to see but I promise there are 5 of them. And the two remaining eggs:

I know we have at least a couple of FBCM and the others are types of Cuckoo Marans. I sent a message to the lady who sold them to me to see if she remembers...

The one with no dot on it's head could be the FBCM. I've hatched those before and they don't have the white dot on their heads. The ones with the dots would be your Cuckoo Marans. (I was hoping you'd say they were Cuckoo Marans and not a mix, otherwise I was going to say you have an awful lot of boys)

LOL! That would be how it would work out! That's the funny thing, though. Now that the wait for them to hatch is over, the wait to see what they are has just begun!
