Thank you. I didn't start this willingly! My doctor refused to write me any more scripts. So, I decided , hey, if I'm going to get clean, I will do it all the way. I've done good so far. Until this ass hole brings liquor home with him. Now I'm not sure what will happen.

This made me laugh at the a-hole part, but in all seriousness, I would be pretty peeved myself! Is he is trying to dig his own grave!? Because webby ain't having it! When momma isn't happy, no one is happy...amirite!?
I know he probably hasn't hit the wall that you have so he isnt ready to start his journey yet, but hopefully he will respect your boundary which is the barn, because webby says so, that's why!

My advice is, don't pour out his liquor, he'll just buy more and resent you for it. Try this instead, if you can. Remove yourself from the house. As others have suggested, call your son, go stay with him. When DH asks why, tell him you can't live in a house with alcohol. You are weak and can't be around it. You will come home when home is safe for you, meaning alcohol free. Free of all addictive substances, if you want. Is up to him to meet your needs. Then simply stay gone as long as that takes. Up to him. You have the power, Girl! Make it his choice. That way you give HIM the power, and the choice. See? It can work!

Come here to vent whenever you want or need to, I think there's usually someone up until at least 0200, many later than that!
And I'd pour the crap out as soon as his eyes close. I've been on the wagon for several years now and I'll be danged if I let someone bring etoh into my house! I won't even take nyquil!

FYI there is a no-alcohol version of nyquil now....

yeah, and your point. FWIW My Baba (Gramma) passed away last fall at 103. She qualified as old, I'm not even middle aged by that standard. Biologically speaking our genetics are 120-135 years so, she did good. So by that standard, well..... what else can I add?

I've had better days, definitely. But, my babies seem to be doing lots better today! I kept them outside the whole afternoon, it was beautiful and they needed to soak up some vitamin D. Dinner made me feel like throwing up, hopefully it was just that cheap canned garbage I cooked up. I feel fine tonight.

How have your days been, aside from the substances battle? Are all the animals well?

120-135 years old? The lower end of that is believable.... the upper end, not so much
