Chicken gender is determined by ZZ chromosome (male) and ZW (female). Incubation temperature to determine gender is a myth, otherwise all the hatcheries would employ that technique. However, there have been studies about low temperatures killing the male embryos before incubation.

So if you store chicken eggs at a certain temperature you can get cockerels, pullets or crocodiles!

31.7 to 34.5 celcius gets you boys. Anything else and you have girls!
