We're all hatchin'! Congrats, everyone!

As much as I would LOVE to hatch again soon, my fiance said I have enough chickens........ I'm only allowed to buy hatching eggs if one of my hen goes broody.... what age do they atart doing that at.. ???

I have a bator full of bantam and silkie eggs going now they are due July 10 th and i have 20 ee eggs that need to go in bator.

I have Standard Light Brahma eggs and Mottled/Lavender Bantam Cochin eggs that are due in by Wednesday... So, I'll be setting eggs again soon!

The best news Starry is you didn't and they've got a chance because you didn't.

I never toss an egg that doesn't stink, if everything else hatches I check for life and never assume they're not in there.

Starry, you have me all worried now 'cause we just threw out the remaining 2 eggs today (day 23). We did candle first, though, and saw absolutely NO signs of life.

I have 8 Dominique eggs ready to go in the 'bator. I put the turner in this time and am regulating my temps and humidity, so they'll be put in tomorrow. I'm also going to buy more Coturnix eggs this Saturday (I'm getting 2 dozen this time); they are just SUPER easy and give you a sense of accomplishment.

I have 29 eggs in the bator...ready to hatch July 7th. Mottled cochins, ummm....Orps, Houdans, turkeys, Silver and Golden Pheonix, BR, RIR..I hope I haven't forgotten any...LOL After this hatch, I can't do anymore until we are back from vacation...but, by then it will be too hot to order shipped eggs...

I only had 1 hatch out of 5 eggs left (1 early quitter) I think shipping is really hard on them, but if they were meant to be they will hatch. The strange thing is it's has been only 1 in each of my 3 successful hatches. 1 out of 8, 1 out of12, 1 out of 6. I am going to leave the 4 remaining eggs for a few more days. Not sure what I am doing with the hatchling. I have a brooder with 2 week old silkies, I don't know if it's okay to put it in there.

Well I am happy to report two hatched which means 3 in bator one is still iffy. So one is grey never had a grey chick before and the other two are blk and yellow. So out of 12 ee eggs 6 hatched one had to be culed his insides came out. Two are in brooder looking great 2 runing around in bator 1 laying down still absorbing yolk. So all in all with the major temp spikes i am pleased think i will leave the two other eggs for another day. You never know. As soon as they fluff i will take pictures.
