Glad to hear you saved the poor wee thing.
Can’t really tell what breed it is till it’s fully feathered.

I’m thinking it’s a Muscovy, but as I said, Can’t really tell till it’s fully feathered
I agree that your duckling will need heat. It might be quieter then. You could give it a stuffed animal or a rolled up sock to snuggle with since it doesn't have a buddy.

Thank you so much for your concern. I borrowed 2 more stuff animals from Milly, my cat. I call duckling baby duck, I don't have a name since not sexed yet.

Baby duck is in a large cardboard box. I want something more comfortable and easy to clean. He's inside the house. Any suggestions? I live in Miami, Florida.

I used a big rubbermaid tote for my ducklings in the house. Ducklings are wet and messy and the tote can even be rinsed out with a hose. You can make a waterer like this with any plastic container with a lid that you have. Just cut a hole in the side that the duckling's head can fit though to drink, but not big enough that the duckling can climb inside. It will help cut down on the water mess a lot. A heat pad or brooder plate or heat lamp is needed until the duckling has it's adult feathers. They can't regulate their body temperature well until those feathers come in.

Have fun with it and good luck either finding it a home or a buddy!

Thank you for your interest and suggestions. As much as I would love to keep baby duck, I have to find a good home. Where I live my Homeowner's Association (HOA) rules: No chickens/ducks permitted.

I have to find it a home. My (HOA) doesn't allow ducks or chickens. So sad!

I was thinking about your response and wanted to let you know that a friend said it could be a silver appleyard.
