My dogs eat mostly a home made raw diet. The majority of their raw meat is chicken, but also eat beef, lamb, cooked salmon, occasional pork, duck, venison, elk bones. They do get about 2 tablespoons of a veggie/fruit mix puree 4 days per week, fresh eggs, as well as fish oil (sardine or other small cold water fish), kelp, Ester-C, and occasionally some other added stuff.
I also add a bit of kibble, because my shepherd stays too lean on raw alone - but he has serious food allergies (poor immune system in general), and there are very few kibbles he can eat. The cow doggie on the other hand could probably live a long healthy life on corn alone.
The kibble I found that works best for my shepherd is the Nature's Logic. They have venison, duck, and chicken. Only grain in the food is millet, which he seems to be able to handle quite well. I rotate between the venison and duck, since they already get plenty of chicken raw.
