What do you think of the new BYC platform?

I know I might have old fashioned ideas, but if it aint broke, it don't need to be fixed.
That's how I feel about the old BYC. I was attached to the site the way it was. I had JUST figured out how to post pics, check pms/ write pms, contact other members etc and now I have to re-figure it all out, which makes me angry because I LIKED the way BYC was before.
I use my phone and only my phone for my internet searching, which makes it 10 times harder to figure out because my phone displays things differently.
I am very ocd and don't like things changed when I have no control. Im actually really upset about this, as BYC was my escape and now I don't want to be here.
The posts do not fit on my screen, which makes posting difficult. I suppose something on my phone is not "compatible"
There's WAY too much going on in the screens.
I don't like the bottom part with all the recent posts.
I can't tell which posts I've read, which I've responded to, etc. There used to be that little chickie or a bullet to tell me.

The whole thing is just requiring me to do more work, which is not pleasurable, which is what BYC was before. I am not a techn ological person, nor do I want to be, so this. Is very frustrating to me.

I'm sure people put a lot of time and effort into this, and I appreciate that, but I think it ruined BYC for me. I will keep trying and hopefully get used to it, but I'm disappointed that I even have to.

I don't know where my little icons are either. Pretend I've got the very angry one, the one that's crying, and the one that looks confused.

EDIT- I'm tired of the quoting bugs..sometimes I can't even get the quote box to show or like in this case it quotes the wrong person.

Really? Nobody likes it at all? For me it's not the new look. It's just slow. The slowness isn't bad, but just annoying. Maybe everybody needs Google Chrome browsers?

But believe me, it was a lot slower when I was testing it. I have a love-hate thing going on too.

I LOVE the new uploading system. It's so easy uploading a picture. That's the thing I really love about the new site.

I am not going to vote yet. I haven't given the site a chance. Definitely a lot of learning to do so lots of buttons to push to find out what they all mean. Sorry, I can watch the video because I have dial up. Bummer. I'm sure once I get it figured out everything will be fine.

One thing that I noticed. I have to log in each time I come back to BYC even though I have "Remember me" checked. I already miss the little yellow bird and the dot next to what I posted on. Can that come back????? It was very helpful. Ok. It will take a few days to go over everything. It's like moving to a new neighborhood. The roads are different but they still lead you to where you wanted to be eventually. Good way to find out what the neighbors are really like.

I do think the upgrade has a lot of potential, it just needs some major fixes. From what the moderators said, an upgrade was needed to handle the amount of traffic BYC gets. However, as it is right now many users seem to be having some trouble with changes as far as technical issues and how things look/work now.

I think that everybody is going to be annoyed with the new BYC for a while. It is human nature to reject change. But once we all get used to it, I think it will work out just fine.

No problem on my end with slowness. The speed is about the same. Concerning the sidebar: if Platinum members have the option to remove the sidebar then I will not be getting a membership..I'll just learn to deal with it, I guess. It just doesn't seem right to me that we should pay to not see "Reviews." I can understand having to pay to remove the ads, but the reviews don't do anything for me. In fact I don't mind the ads. Just please consider taking them off the sidebar and putting them at the top of the page if that is possible.
