Yes the perfect breed. much like Great Pryenees but not as independent.

Just get a show line so then they dont have as much energy.

Upfront, dishes, food, leash, collars or harness, a few chew toys, toys in general, appropriate sized crate, small nail nipper, soft brush. That's about all I can think of.

There is a dog shelter garage sale right before I'm hoping to go meet the puppies, so I'm hoping they have most of what we need. I just don't know what we won't be able to get, which is the only issue, but I'm sure it'll be fine in the long run.

If you want to get a dog bed I would suggest getting something more like this. Way harder to chew up than the traditional dog bed and easy to clean in case accidents happen on it.

That's useful. Our first dog tore all of hers up, and the current dog my folks now have has a big canvas bed, but actively sleeps on the crate floor anyways, lol. I figured I'd just have the dog in there with a puppy pad, and get a bed for outside the crate when he's older.

Technically, yep. Husband likes to consolidate trips, but if we really need to make a run, we probably can.

Right now I'm watching puppy training videos because I'm trying to get dog training to click in my brain. It just doesn't for me. I know how horses function and it's easy, but dogs are so different.
