Right now I'm watching puppy training videos because I'm trying to get dog training to click in my brain. It just doesn't for me. I know how horses function and it's easy, but dogs are so different.

That's fun!! If you have any questions, everyone here would be happy to help! Getting a new puppy is so exciting. When do you think you will?

I have heard from many professional dog trainers that had worked with horses before say that working with horses helped them a ton. They said the main thing that helped was their understanding of timing from working with horses.

Yes the perfect breed. much like Great Pryenees but not as independent.

Just get a show line so then they dont have as much energy.

So excited to see puppy pics chickers! It feels like forever since we had a baby puppy even though we got Oakley at 4 months, there's nothing like an 8-9 week old

Thanks! There will probably be some questions. It just doesn't fit in my brain no matter how much I try and research training methods and how dogs learn and think. It's getting frustrating how badly it's failing to click.
We are hoping to set up a meeting with the puppies this Saturday and will likely bring one home then! Speaking of, I need to call the guy and leave a message because he didn't see my text.

Yeah, I am definitely confident in the timing of corrections and rewards, I'm very on top of that. It's just the actual technique that I'm struggling to learn... Hopefully being able to get in and take proper puppy training classes will help me be able to pick it up better.

The youngest I've had is 4 months, so I'm excited too! I got a great camera for my birthday, so I'm probably going to be putting it to use, lol.
