I want an Anatolian shepherd or a Tibetan Mastiff. A neighbor is afraid of large dog breeds and told us to only own small ones. I am sure he will love a Tibetan Mastiff or an Anatolian Shepard :-D

That's awesome! Nothing better than annoying your neighbors!! I LOVE Anatolian Shepherds! I have decided they don't have the workability I am looking for, but I love the breed.

I'm so jealous. I love bassets and have had 2 of them over the years. I'd get another in a heartbeat if we had a fenced in yard. They sure like sneaking off on a scent trail. Such fun dogs.

Your basset hounds are beautiful!
Ive only met one before and knew of one. The one was a puppy and adorable.
But id assume similar to beagles. Which i know of many. The person who lived in the property behind our garage at our old house has a beagle. super nice and we had know him since 8 weeks. But one day he caught a scent and just came trailing on over to my chickens. The othet beagles i know go after rabbit scents so they are always leashed.

Well we were but then Oakley came along and we were thinking about still getting one but Oakley is already almost too much so another dog if WAY down the line. I personally would say I'd much take a newf to Oakley's type. I love Oakley because he's our dog but I wouldn't get another like him...just not my type of dog looks or personality. I'm definitely a giant working dog person

Pyrs will always be my one true love of dog breeds though, I hope someday, way down the line, to breed them.
