Murphy will likely be fine once he gets past the puppy mouthiness. He's a Bichon/Poodle mix and both parents are snugglers. My Mom's very active and they have a fenced in yard, so exercise isn't a problem. I've groomed for ages (years of peekapoos, a labradoodle way before they got trendy and nuts, a cocker, a cockapoo and a Shih Tzu in full show coat,) so she won't have to deal with any of that. The issue is the "bitey" puppy stage. She knows how to train him with it, but both she and my stepdad have thin skin, so little nips can cause big damage. At nearly six months, he's coming along well and improving (and moving!) in leaps and bounds. He'll get there, and with the joy he's added to my parents' lives, he's well worth the extra bandaids!
